Sickle Cell Institute Chhattisgarh (SCIC) : For the establishment of the institute, the requirement of land is approximately 25 acres in the capital area of Naya Raipur, in which a complete dedicated treatment facilities building for sickle cell disease(OPD, 100 beded Ward, ICCU, OT, casualty, Blood transfusion facilities, diagnostics lab etc.), complete research unit, training centre, hostels, guest house, maintenance division and other miscellaneous requirements.
- This institute will function as totally autonomous institute.
- The institute will be run by 100 percent financial aid from Govt. of Chhattisgarh budget.
- There will be a Governing Council headed by honourable Health Minister of the state.
